Shockwave Therapy

Accelerate Healing. Reduce Pain. Get Back to Doing What You Love.

At Endeavor Chiropractic, we’re committed to providing the most effective treatments available to help our patients recover from injury, perform at their best, and stay active for life. That’s why we’re excited to offer Shockwave Therapy—a non-invasive treatment designed to stimulate the body’s natural healing processes and help resolve stubborn musculoskeletal conditions.

Whether you’re an athlete dealing with a nagging injury, recovering from a recent strain, or simply looking for relief from chronic pain, shockwave therapy may be an excellent option.

What Is Shockwave Therapy?

Shockwave Therapy uses high-energy acoustic waves to stimulate healing in injured tissues. These sound waves increase blood flow, promote tissue regeneration, reduce pain, and help break the cycle of chronic inflammation that often prevents injuries from fully healing.

Treatment is performed in our office, requires no injections or surgery, and most sessions take only 10 minutes.

Conditions We Commonly Treat

Shockwave Therapy can be effective for a variety of musculoskeletal conditions, including:

  • Plantar fasciitis
  • Achilles tendinopathy
  • Tennis elbow and golfer’s elbow
  • Patellar tendon pain (jumper’s knee)
  • Rotator cuff tendinopathy
  • Shoulder pain
  • Shin splints
  • Hip pain
  • Hamstring strains
  • Chronic muscle tightness
  • Trigger points
  • Calcific tendinitis
  • Other chronic tendon, ligament, and soft tissue injuries

Not sure if your condition is a good fit? Our doctors can evaluate your injury and determine whether shockwave therapy is appropriate for your situation.

How Does Shockwave Therapy Work?

Shockwave Therapy works by delivering acoustic waves directly to injured tissues. These waves stimulate a healing response by:

  • Increasing local blood circulation
  • Encouraging new tissue formation
  • Stimulating collagen production
  • Reducing pain sensitivity
  • Breaking down scar tissue and fascial adhesions
  • Promoting long-term healing rather than simply masking symptoms

Many patients notice improvement within the first few treatments, while others experience gradual improvement over several weeks as the body’s healing response continues. Treatment plans are generally 3-6 visits and based on your individual response to the therapy.

What to Expect

Your treatment begins with a thorough evaluation by one of our doctors to determine if shockwave therapy is right for you.

During treatment, a handheld applicator is applied to the injured area. You may experience mild to moderate discomfort as the acoustic waves are delivered, particularly in sensitive or chronically injured tissues. Most patients tolerate treatment well, and sessions are completed quickly.

Depending on your condition, a series of 3-6 treatments is typically recommended to achieve the best results.
